Expressions of interest are invited from staff interested in a career opportunity as Relieving Principal (TP2) at Peats Ridge Public School for Term 1, 2017.

Information about School

Peats Ridge Public School enrolment is 39 students. The school is located in a rural area within 20km from the Gosford town centre. The school enjoys a positive reputation and engagement in the wider community and values positive partnerships with an active School Parents and Citizens’ Association. The school is an integral member of The Mountains Learning Community and Small Schools Network. The school is structured with two multi-stage classes and has a strong commitment to a focus on literacy, numeracy and environmental education. The school prides itself on providing a well-rounded education for its students and provides opportunities through well-developed student leadership, sporting and creative arts programs.

Position Criteria

  1. Approval to teach infants and/or primary.
  2. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality and inclusive education.
  3. Understanding of the key accountabilities of the principal role
  4. Demonstrated capacity to lead and inspire staff and community through positive and innovative implementation of ongoing educational reforms for continuous school improvement.
  5. Demonstrated capacity to provide highly visible, collaborative and inclusive leadership in order to build and maintain effective relationships within the school and wider community.

Applications of no more than three A4 pages are to be submitted by email to 4:00pm – Friday 3 February 2017. Please attach the form on the next page to the front of your application. The expression of interest must include the qualities and experience that the person would bring to the position and a brief work history.

Applications must include the names of two referees who are familiar with and are able to discuss your abilities and suitability for this position. One of your referees must be your current Director, Public Schools NSW or Principal.
