Special Requirements:

·  When handling Fascia or top caps you must always wear gloves

·  Never set a fascia or top cap on anything other than the provided carpeted table.

Sequence Procedure: Fascias w Top Caps /
1)  Collect sequence broadcast and accompanying part labels from the printers.
2)  Verify that the broadcast manifest is in sequence with the sequence log sheet, and scan the master barcode on the manifest.
3)  Prepare sequence rack. Remove all previous labels before sequencing.
4)  Inspect the part for mislabeling, dirt and or any other condition that is nonconforming.
a)  Place damaged parts in the designated Non-Conforming area of the work cell.
b)  Notify your supervisor immediately if damaged parts are found.
5)  Before picking any parts, arrange the LSI labels for fascias and top caps in the cardboard model of the rack.
a)  Place the lowest sequence number in slot 1.
b)  Assign each top cap one slot; assign each fascia two slots.
c)  Proceed according to the slot number labels on the rack model until the model is full.
d)  A rack may have as many as 12 parts or as few as 6 parts, depending on the mix of fascias and top caps.
6)  Pick the first required part.
a)  WHEN PICKING THE FIRST PART IN A RACK, VERIFY THAT THE PART NUMBER ON THE RACK LABEL MATCHES THE PART NUMBER ON THE SIGN ABOVE THE RACK.
7)  Place the LSI label onto the fascia or Top Cap on the INSIDE of the part beside the vendor’s label.
8)  Using the scanner, scan the sequence bar code on the LSI label. Next scan the SUPPLIERS bar code label affixed to the part.
a)  If the scanner does not accept a part, correct the error by picking the correct part.
b)  If this still does not correct the error, notify your supervisor immediately.
c)  IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO SCAN FOR ANY REASON, PERFORM A MANUAL AUDIT. REFER TO Operational Workbook Audit Process 9.
9)  Position the part into the rack as shown in Figures 1 and 2.
a)  Two top caps can go on the same shelf with “A” surfaces facing away from each other. All Top Caps must be strapped in with Velcro straps.
b)  Only one Fascia can fit on each shelf and must be locked in place by the two metal pins in front and back.
10)  Adhere the White tape to the Fascias as shown in figure 3.
11)  Repeat steps 5 through 8 for the remaining items on the broadcast:
a)  Begin loading parts at the rear of the rack, beginning with the slot at the bottom rear.
b)  Fill the bottom two slots at the rear of the rack, then the top two slots, and proceed in this fashion toward the front of the rack.
12)  Complete all labeling requirements on the outside of the rack insuring that the Sequence Rack Range Numbers match the Broadcast Sheet Sequence Range Numbers.
13)  Notify a material handler to remove the completed rack to the Outbound Sequenced Material Staging Area and to replace the removed rack with an empty sequence rack.
14)  Write the rack completion time and your initials on the sequencing log.
15)  Repeat the process for the next broadcast.
