March 4th- Outdoor Movie in the Park Playing Minions. At 7:00 pm park gates will reopen at 6:15 pm. Outdoor Family movie. Bring a chair or blanket. (There is no seating being provided). Reservations only. Event limit to 150 people. Concessions will be sold. Free Event

March 25th, 26th, 27th, April 1st, 2nd, 3rd – Cherry Blossom Lantern Light Tours . Tours at 7:30 pm, 8:00pm, 8:30pm, & 9:00 pm. Admission $ 5.00 for 13 & up; 12 and under Free. Tours are 1 mile round trip and are guided or self- guided.

April 9th, 10th, 16th 17th, 23rd, 24th- Junior Ranger Pottery Program At 3:00 pm. Children can learn how to make coiled pots. All ages Welcome Free

April 20th – Earth Day. Location in Macon at Tattnall Square Park from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm. The Park will be giving away free native hardwood trees. There will be many other vendors at the event. Free Event

May 21st & 22nd – Ranger Archaeology Tour At 11:00 am Ranger will give a tour on the 1930s archaeological dig through the eyes of the archaeologists. Free Event

June 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th – Children’s Summer Workshop From 10:00 am-2:00 pm. Reservations Required Ages 6-12 only. Class limit is 25 kids. Children will participate in a 1 mile walk to the mounds. They will learn the history of the people who once lived here. They get to make crafts and pottery.

June 2nd – NPS Centennial Children’s Workshop From 10:00 am-2:00 pm Reservations only. Ages 9-12 Class Limit is 25 kids. Children will learn the history of the National Park Service and get to play games and make crafts.

June 4th- National Trails Day From 9:00am-5:00pm Come walk Ocmulgee’s 6 miles of trails to support this National Event. Free

June 18th- National Picnic in the Park Day Come to the park and enjoy the outdoors with a picnic with your family.

August 25th- National Park Service 100th Birthday

August 27th - 100 Years of Memories To celebrate the National Park Service 100th birthday the park wants visitors to bring in pictures of the park over the past 80 years. Also bring in any pictures of any other National Parks over the past years to share with the public.

September 17th & 18th Ocmulgee’s 25th Indian Celebration from 10:00 am- 5:00 pm. Come see over 200 Native American share their history and culture through dancing, singing, storytelling, art, crafts, and much more. Admission $6.00 for 13 & up; $3.00 for 6-12; 5 & under Free. Active Military with I.D. $3.00.
