Thelwall Festival 2017
This year's Thelwall Festival will be held from Thursday 13th July to Sunday 16th July in a marquee on the field adjacent to Chaigley School, Thelwall (opposite the Little Manor pub on Bell Lane).
And, after such a tremendous response last year, we are again looking to raise money for some excellent and worthy local causes.
Last year the Festival raised enough money to fund a senior citizens' Christmas lunch, in conjunction with the Pickering Arms pub in Thelwall. This proved immensely popular for those residents who struggle to get out and enjoy themselves.
The event also funded a fabulous Christmas pantomime at Thelwall Village Hall, for the local children of Thelwall and Grappenhall.
“We are looking for businesses and individuals to sponsor the 2017 Thelwall Festival by contributing towards the cost of purchasing the casks of beer, cider and bottled beers; souvenir glasses; equipment hire; publicity banners; Festival programmes and entertainment during the Festival.”
The Festival will be marketed to over 40 local areas, local businesses and 57,000 households via publicity banners, leaflet drops and through news media partner, South Warrington News.
The social media campaign will be run again by Blue Sky Marketing. A similar campaign recently attracted over 75,000 views on both Facebook & Twitter.
After last year's phenomenal response, this year’s event will be bigger and better. We have the following events for you to look forward to
Thursday 13th July – The Summer Proms presented by Rainford Brass Band.
Friday 14th July – an evening of laughs with 3 top rated comedians presented by The Comedy Club
Saturday 15th July – Beer, Wine Cider & Prosecco Festival from 2.00pm till midnight
Sunday 16th July – Barn Dance from 2.00pm presented by Prevent Breast Cancer
This Festival is great way for companies to engage with local residents and support the the local community.
