These are the Announcements forMonday Feb. 22, 2016
1.There will be a FAFSA workshop on Thursday, February 25th at 6:00pm in the computer lab. This workshop is for Parents and students who need help or have questions about filling out the FAFSA. Please stop by the College and career center or the Go Center if you would like to grab a list of what you will need to fill out the FAFSA.
2.FAFSA Super Saturday will be held on February 27th from 9:00am to 2:00pm. You can pick up a flier in the College and Career Center or the Go Center for more details on the locations of this event. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and get help with completing the FAFSA.
3.Seniors that will be graduating DAP need to bring their payment for their gold DAP stole that they will wear at Graduation. Please bring $20 to Mrs. Mehlenbacher or Mrs. Watkins. Cash only please.
4.Listen up Dual Credit students! This is a reminder that all dual credit tuition is due to Jacksonville College by February 29th or you will be removed from the college course. If you have any questions call the Business Office at the college.
5.Reminder to all students planning to take the AP Spanish Language and Culture Test or the AP Spanish Literature and Culture Test as a way to get college credit. Please remember to take your $30.00 deposit to Mrs. Gowin as soon as you are able. The deadline, March 3, is approaching very quickly.
6.The Texas Retired Teachers Foundation Scholarship is now available. To be eligible for this scholarship you must be pursuing a degree in education and must be a relative of an active member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association.
7.Freshman mentoring will meet Tuesday immediately after school in the student commons area.
8.If you are a student attending theSam Houston State University college trip on Wednesday, February 24th, the bus will be parked in the regular bus area at 6:20am. The bus will leave at 6:30am and we will returnduring 7th period. Please make sure you bring money for lunch. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Stephens.
9.Stephen F. Austin State University will be here for a college lunch visit on Thursday, February 25th. Please stop by their table and ask any questions you may have.
10.Art Club will have a brief meeting after school Thursday in room 401.The Art Club will also be holding a bake sale at the tomato Bowlthis Fridayduring the Boys soccer game. Please come out to support or boys playsoccer as well as the arts!!
11.Students, please remember that you cannot have an outside lunch delivered to you from such places as McDonalds, Taco Bell or any public place. This is stated in the Student Handbook.
