Top Priorities as APA President

·  Ensuring that the November 2013 federalhealth care reform parity rules trulyinclude equal access and payment for psychiatric services

·  Ensuring that federal funding for graduate medical education and research ismaintained

·  Increasing APA membership by improving its benefits and value

·  Ensuring reasonable standards for maintenance of certification

·  Promoting diversity at all levelsof the APA

·  Expanding mentorship and leadership opportunities for MIT's and ECP's --the future of our profession and APA
