Dear Parent or Legal Guardian,

Your son/daughter has been invited to participate in a new course that is offered at their high school. The course has been developed collaboratively with teachers from high schools across Arizona and faculty from the University of Arizona. This new course, developed specifically for high school students interested in gaining a significantly deeper understanding ofethics, economyand entrepreneurship, will use a digital textbook, multimedia learning materials, and an extensive network of online resources selected by your student’s high school instructor. At the end of the course, studentswill be better equipped to make sound choices about their personal and professional careers, having a clearer understanding of what it means to be aproductive member ofsociety. They will also have experienced what it takes tosuccessfully complete acollege level course.

Your son/daughter may elect to participate in this course and earn 3 units of credit towards a UA degree. The tuition fee to receive UA credit is $500 and includes the online textbook. (This represents a significant savings to in-state tuition rates.) The admission, registration, and payment deadline for this course, Philosophy 101 HS, is November 1, 2016.
