New or Replacement Faculty Position Request Form
This faculty position request form provides rationale and justification for filling a vacant faculty position or for requesting a new position. It is to be completed prior to departmental meetings with deans and EVP/Provost regarding faculty positions. It is important that departments/schools correlate both new and replacement position requests with emerging trends and anticipated changes in areas of strength in the future. The need for discipline-specific expertise is important to secure distinction or ranking of academic programs; however, hiring proposals should always be made in view of the strategic priorities at the school/college and university level.
