RESOLUTION OF THE bOARD OF dIRECTORS OF THE cZECH bAR aSSOCIATION

dated 14thMay 2010,

determining the fee for the entry in the Register of Lawyers or the Register of European Lawyers and lump sums for covering costs related to the issue of documents at own request

The Board of Directors of the Czech Bar Association has decided under § 5, par. 1, letter i), § 35m, par. 1, letter d), § 44, par. 4, letter b) and § 53, par. 1, letters b) and h) of Act No. 85/1996 Coll. on the Legal Profession, in the wording of subsequent legal regulations (hereafter the “Act”), as follows:

Article 1

Fee for the Entry in the Register of Lawyers or the Register of European Lawyers

The fee for the entry in the Register of Lawyers or the Register of European Lawyers (hereafter the “Fee”) is hereby stipulated in the amount of CZK 4,000.

Article 2

Lump Sum Amounts for Covering Costs Related to the Issue of Documents at Own Request

(1)The lump sum amount for covering costs related to the issue of documents at a request of the lawyer, the European lawyer, the legal trainee, the consortium of lawyers, the business companies of lawyers, the foreign companies of lawyers or their organizational units by the Czech Bar Association (hereafter the “Bar”) shall be as follows:

a)CZK 300 for the issue of a copy of the certificate of the entry in the Register of Lawyers or the Register of European lawyers (§ 5d, par. 1 of the Act),

b)CZK 300 for confirmation of the entry in the Register of Consortia of Lawyers, the Register of Business Companies of Lawyers or in the Register of Foreign Companies of Lawyers(§ 11, par. 2 of the Act),

c)CZK 300 for the issue of each new identification card of the lawyer, identification card of the European lawyer or identification card of the legal trainee in the case of their loss, theft or impairment,

d)CZK 300 for the issue of each further copy of the Bar examination certificate, on passing qualification examination or recognition examination,

e)CZK 300 for the abstract from the Register of Lawyers, the Register of European Lawyers or the Register ofLegal Trainees, or from other records kept by the Bar, that verify the data herein.

(2)The lump sums for acts specified in paragraph 1 shall be doubled in the case that the act is carried out, at a request, within 48 hours.

(3)Documents according to paragraph 1 must bear the stamp of the Bar and must be signed by the Bar’s official or employee authorized to issue such documents.

Article 3

Payment of Fees and Lump Sums

Payment according to Article 1 or lump sums for covering costs according to Article 2, par. 1 and 2 shall be paid in cash at the place determined by the Bar or by bank transfer to the Bar’s account no. 12432011/0100 kept by Komerční banka, a. s. When paying the fee, it is necessary to state the variable symbol consisting of the current year (e.g. 2010) and four-digit or five-digit registration number of the lawyer, and in the case of paying a lump sum, the variable symbol consisting of the figures 34 and a four-digit or five-digit registration number of a lawyer or a legal trainee, or of the figures 34 and the identification number of the company.

Article 4

Transitory Provision

Until the effective date of the legal regulation determining the details of identification cards of the lawyers, the settled European lawyers and the legal trainees, the fee according to Article 2, par. 1, letter c) shall apply to the issue of each further card of the lawyers, the settled European lawyer or the legal trainee according to the hitherto existing legal regulation;similarly, the fee in the amount of CZK 200 for the issue of the professional identification card of the lawyer of the Council of European Bars shall apply according to the hitherto existing regulation.

Article 5

Repealing Provision

Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Czech Bar Association No. 9/2005 of the Official Journal of the Bar which determines the fee for the issue of the certificate of entry in the Register of Lawyers and lump sums for covering costs related to the issue of certain other documents at lawyers’ request, and which repeals the Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Czech Bar Association No. 8/1999 of the Official Journal of the Bar which determines the fee for the issue of the certificate of entry in the Register of Lawyers, in the wording of subsequent professional regulations, is hereby cancelled.

Article 6

Effectiveness

This Resolution shall become effective on the 30th day of its promulgation in the Official Journal of the Czech Bar Association.
