Raxa Security Services Ltd., Bengaluru, an ISO 9001:2000 certified company offers consultancy services for integrated security solutions and provides manpower and technical security to Industrial and Business Establishments. Raxa Security Services Ltd., is registered under Private Security (Regulation) Act, 2005, Government of India. Raxa is formed in August 2005 as one of the group companies of GMR Group.
Raxa Security Services Ltd., is set up with a Mission “To provide world class security / safety to Industrial and Business Establishments”, with a Vision “To be a leader in the safety and security Industry in thought and in action to provide secure and safe Industrial environments, thereby facilitate economic growth by deploying highly trained personnel and supporting them with the most advanced equipment and technologies”.
Raxa Security Services is manned by Security / Technical professionals with long years of experience drawn from Police / Defense forces.
Able bodied youths with minimum education qualification of 10th Std. from throughout the country are recruited as Marshals ( Security guards ) and trained in Raxa Academy for a period of 8 weeks to make them security professionals capable of providing security / safety services of global standards to Industrial and Business Establishments.
The Academy is equipped with State of the Art training facilities and meticulous care is taken in induction as well as In-service training programmes to make the trainees highly committed security professionals, maintaining high ethical standards of Honesty and Integrity. They are trained in physical exercises / drills, Unarmed Combat Skills ( UAC ), First Aid, Fire safety, Disaster Management, Industrial / Airport security, handling of technical equipment, use of computers, motor cycle driving, professional conduct etc.

•Managing Director and Executive Directors are retired Indian Police Service (IPS) officers with long years of professional experience in security, intelligence, law and order, administration and man management.
•Senior/Middle management in operational Group is a treasure of experienced security professionals drawn from Police, Central Police Forces and Defense Forces
•Technical Services wing is a pool of experienced security technical professionals from Defense / Central Police Organizations /Industry with engineering background
•Field operatives are laterally inducted from Police / Defense Forces, who have taken voluntary retirement and are relatively young, in addition to directly recruited Marshals.

Brief profile of Current Management Team of Raxa Security Services Limited
Mr. M. R. Reddy - IPS ( Retd.), Managing Director
After obtaining post graduate degree in Physics, worked as Lecturer in Sri Venkateshwara University, Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh for one year and then joined All India Service, Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1967. After completion of training, worked in Maharashtra state as District Superintendent of Police and Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and later went on deputation to Government of India in 1982.
He worked as Deputy Director in the Intelligence Bureau. While working in the Intelligence Bureau, he was assigned the duties related to VIP Security and was closely associated with the security arrangements for the international events held in Delhi, Non-aligned Heads of Government Meeting (NAM ) and Common Wealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM). Intelligence Bureau deputed him to Olympics held in Los Angles in 1984 to oversee the Security arrangements for the Indian Contingent.
He was subsequently posted as Deputy Director, Special Protection Group (SPG) in 1985, which looks after the Security of the Prime Minister and his family members. He was the founder member of the SPG. He was later promoted and posted as Joint Director, Intelligence Bureau, Hyderabad, where he worked from 1991-97. In 1997, he was promoted and posted as the Director, SPG, heading the Prime Minister’s Security set up. On completion of the assignment, he was posted to Germany on a diplomatic assignment (Minister, Embassy of India) dealing with International terrorism. On return from Germany, he was posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the rank of Secretary to Government of India in the Prime Minister’s Office looking after the security assignment. He has retired from IPS in June 2004, after putting in 37 years of Government Service.
He was awarded Indian Police Medal for meritorious Service (IPM) and Presidents Police Medal for distinguished service (PPM) in recognition of his services.
Mr.C.V.Rao, IPS ( Retd.), Executive Director
A post graduate in commerce from Andhra University and worked in State Bank of Hyderabad for about 8 years both at Branch and at Headquarters level handling various portfolios such as Advances, Foreign Exchange, etc. Pursued further studies while working in the bank and obtained the prestigious academic certification from the Association of Indian Institute of Bankers, C.A.I.I.B(Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers).
Later joined All India Services in 1984 in Indian Police Service and underwent training in SardarVallabhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad. On allotment to Tamilnadu Cadre, worked in Tamilnadu as District Superintendent of Police in Coimbatore, Salem, Chennai Suburban and as Deputy Inspector General of Police in Vellore and Trichy ranges. On promotion as Inspector General of Police(I.G.P), worked in Police Headquarters handling special units such as Crime Branch, Special Investigation Team, Railways, etc. Also worked as I.G.P.,Technical Services for about three years, handling Police Tele Communication Systems and modern security equipment through police modernisation scheme.
Handled the security of the sensitive Tihar Jail, Delhi, as commandant of the Tamilnadu Special Battalion deployed with Delhi Police. On deputation to Government of India, joined the prestigious SardarVallabha Patel National Police Academy as faculty and gained experience in both indoor and outdoor training systems. As part of the deputation, joined Central Industrial Security Force(C.I.S.F) and gained experience in handling industrial security systems by working and living in the campus of a National Thermal Power Corporation unit at Unchahar, Raebareily, UP. As part of C.I.S.F, he was selected to head their Academy at Hyderabad, i.e., National Industrial Security Academy, as Incharge Director and brought about significant improvements in both indoor and outdoor training.
He was awarded Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service( IPM ) and Presidents Police Medal for Distinguished Service( PPM ) in recognition of his services.
He took voluntary retirement from IPS in 2010 as Additional Director General of Police.
Mr. Narayan Rao Deshmukh, IPS (Retd.), Executive Director
ShriNarayan Rao Deshmukh hails from Nizamabad Dist, AP. He has acquired the degree of B.Sc. and LLB from Osmania University, Hyderabad; he worked in a court as a junior to Late Shri. V. K. Vaidya, an eminent lawyer of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh.
He was selected for Group-I Services by Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission and was appointed as Dy. Superintendent of Police on 1st Jan 1966. He served the Police Department, AP on various capacities for 35 long years and retired as the Inspector General of Police in December 2001. He has acquired experience in various branches of Police Department including Anti-corruption Bureau, Special Intelligence Branch and law & order. The dedicated services rendered by him in the Anti-corruption Bureau and Special Intelligence Branch, which deals with extremist organization and his stint in Vijayawada as Commissioner of Police, has brought him recognition both in the public and from the Department.
He was awarded Indian Police Medal for meritorious services in the year 1985. He was also awarded the prestigious President’s Police Medal in the year 1994 for the distinguished services rendered by him.
Mr. T. V. Ramana, Vice President, Technical Services
He is a BE in Electronics& Communication Engg. from Andhra University. After selection in UPSC Civil Services Examination, he joined Central Group-A service as Assistant Commandant in Central Industrial Security Force in 1993. He served the Technical division at CISF Hqrs., New Delhi. Later he worked as Deputy Commandant (Tech) in National Industrial Security Academy, Hyderabad. He resigned from CISF after putting in 13 years of service and joined as Vice president (Technical Services) in Raxa Security Services Ltd in August 2006.
While in CISF he was actively involved as a member in security surveys/resurveys/technical surveys of various establishments like steel plants, atomic energy plants, space installations, sea ports, fertilizer plants, oil & gas, museums, currency note press and security /technical consultancy for various clients such as , State legislative assembly of AP and Karnataka, TTD, Tirupati, Nizam’s Jewelry, Salarjung Museum, Delhi Metro Rail Cooperation, Paradip Port Trust, TATA Steel, Jamshedpur etc. Further he gained a vast experience from following assignments:
Member of Organizing committee and evaluation committee of range of security gadgets during various international Security, Safety and Fire Exhibitions
Associated with up gradation of security technologies/systems in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Cochin airports.

He took voluntary retirement from Central Industrial Security Force ( CISF ) after putting in 13 yrs of service and joined Raxa Security Services in May 2006 as Vice President, Technical Services.
Brig.(Retd.)C.M.Cheeyanna, Commandant, Raxa Academy
Brigadier (Retd.)C.M.Cheeyanna completed his graduation at Mysore and joined the Officers Training Academy (OTA) Chennai for officers training in Jan 1973 and was commissioned in Indian Army on 12 May 1974 and was posted with 45 Air Defence Regiment. He had put in 33 years of service in the Army and rose up to the rank of Brigadier. During his active service, he served in all parts of the country including Kashmir, Rajasthan, UP Tibet border and other frontier areas. While serving in Kashmir, he was awarded with Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card for his distinguished service in Counter Insurgency Operations.
After becoming Brigadier, he Commanded an Air Defence Brigade at Gwalior. Thereafter, he was posted as Commandant Corps of Military Police (CMP) Training Centre, Bengaluru from where he took voluntary retirement and joined as Commandant, Raxa Academy.

Boys and Girls from throughout the country(age group of 18 to 26 yrs) with minimumeducational qualification of 10th Standardand desired physical standards are selectedas Marshals and trained in Raxa Academy
