The goal of this assignment is to have you read and reflect on Arizona’s “great” rivers .
Directions: Follow the links and read the introductory article plus two river articles. All of these readings are part of a series written by Arizona Republic reporter Shaun McKinnon and published in August 2006. Your task is to synthesize this information into a paper where you compare and contrast the two rivers that you have selected.. Highlight common problems and issues and conclude with your own thoughts on the future of Arizona’s rivers. Your paper must directly reference at least two of the three articles you are reading (minimum 4 quotes). Quotes should not be longer than one line. Please use an in-line reference that looks like this: (McKinnon, 8/10, p.1) following the referenced passage. You should reference outside material if it is cited both in-line and more completely at the end of the paper.
Format: 1 inch margins, Times New Roman 12-point font, 1.5 spacing, 3-4 pages
