Revised June 2017

VISITOR’S POLICY & CLOSED CAMPUS POLICY

All school gates and exterior doors leading off campus during the hours that school is in session are kept locked. The main entrance has a security camera and buzzer.

ALL CAMPUS VISTORS MUST:

·  Sign in at the main office.

·  Request an appointment for a visitation date and time from the main office staff after entering the office. Visitations can take place without a prearranged date and time.

·  Complete a visitor’s pass in the main office and obtain the principal/designee’s approval before proceeding to the classroom.

·  Determine the classroom activity you are observing.

·  If you would like to schedule a meeting with a teacher or the principal, appointment request forms are located in the main office.

·  Return the visitor’s pass to the main office before leaving the campus.

SOME IMPORTANT RULES FOR VISITORS:

·  Enter and leave the classroom as quietly as possible.

·  Do not converse with the students, teacher, and/or instructional assistants during the visitation.

·  Do not interfere with any school activity during the visitation.

·  Children who are not enrolled at the school are not to be on campus unless prior approval of the principal/designee has been obtained.

PARKING LOT POLICY:

·  Safety is always our prime concern. Beginning immediately, parents will not be permitted to park in the staff parking lot until 2:50PM, after staff has left campus and more parking becomes available.

·  It is imperative that children be monitored when walking through the parking lot after they are picked up from their after school program.

·  Cars should not be traveling at more than 3 miles per hour.

·  Ensure that there are no children behind your vehicle before backing out.

·  Children are not permitted to play in the parking lot or meet parents in the parking lot.
