Parents Codes of Conduct

  1. I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice, or other youth sports event.
  2. I place the emotional and physical well-being of my child ahead of a personal desire to win.
  3. I will insist that my child play in a safe and healthy environment.
  4. I will support coaches and officials working with my child, in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.
  5. I will demand a sports environment for my child that is free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and will refrain from their use at all youth sports events.
  6. I will remember the game is for youth, not for adults.
  7. I will do my best to make youth sports fun for my child.
  8. I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fan, and officials with respect, regardless of race, sex, creed, or ability.
  9. I will help my child enjoy the youth sports experience by doing whatever I can, such as being a respected fan, assisting with coaching, or providing transportation.
  10. I will require that my child’s coach be responsible with the youth sports and that the coach upholds the Coaches Code of Ethics.

Coach’s Codes of Conduct

9. I will help my team enjoy the youth sports experience by doing whatever I can to practice and to encourage positive communication with others.

10. I will remember to handle all situations in a calm and mature manner to maintain the integrity of PMP’s sports programs.

Player Conduct

  1. Accept and understand the seriousness of responsibility, and the privilege of representing yourself, you team, and your community.
  2. Live up to the standards of sportsmanship established by the HRA Program and the coaching staff.
  3. Learn the rules of the game thoroughly and discuss them with parents, fans, and fellow students. This will assist both them and you in the achievement of a better understanding and appreciation of the sport.
  4. Treat opponents the way you would like to be treated, as a guest or friend. Who better than you can understand all the hard work and team effort that is required for your sport?
  5. Wish opponents good luck before the contest and congratulate them in a sincere manner that you would like to be greeted following a victory or defeat..
  6. Respect the integrity and judgment of contest officials. The officials are doing their best to help promote you and your sport. Treating them with respect, even if you disagree with their judgment, will only make a positive impression of you and your team in the eyes of the officials and all the people at the event.
Remember displaying acts of poor sportsmanship which includes but is not limited to: fighting, swearing, taunting, arguing with an official or supervisor, or arguing with the other team, could cause you to be ejected from the game and placed on suspension from future games.
