In this assignment, you will write a descriptive essay describing your pet. Upon completion of this essay, you will create a poster of your description and a photo/artwork of your pet.
Descriptive Writing
- Creates a picture of a person, place, thing or event that allows the reader to become a part of the story – in our case, only thing.
- Includes details that appeal to one or more of the five senses.
- Spatial order is the most common way to organize a description.
- Creates a link between those senses and the feelings or memories that they inspire.
- Is clear, detailed, and vivid.
