East Providence, RI –. Lite Rock 105, Your #1 At Work Station, announces the “Lite Rock’s Your Block” contest, featuring Columbia recording artist Train courtesy of Newport Creamery and Party Solutions. Lite Rock 105 is encouraging listeners to log on to LiteRock105fm.com to nominate and vote for their neighborhood to win a free block party featuring a live acoustic performance from multi-platinum selling rock group Train. Lite Rock 105 Program Director Tony Bristol states, “Lite Rock 105 prides itself on giving our local listeners exciting prizes they cannot buy. Train performing in their backyard will make someone’s dream come true.”
The group Train consists of Pat Monahan, lead guitarist Jimmy Stafford, and drummer Scott Underwood. The trio recently released their fifth album, ‘Save Me San Francisco’. The first single from the album, "Hey, Soul Sister" is the band's most successful single in their career, charting in the top three on the Billboard Hot 100 and reaching the top ten in several other countries. Train has made their mark on music history with their Grammy Award-winning song "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)" and singles “Meet Virginia” and “Calling all Angels”.
