WINEMAKERS’ TASTING NOTES AND COMMENTS

The wine comes from “Villa San Juliette” vineyard, located

on the northeast side of the Paso Robles appellation. These

mature vines are grown on a limestone hillside soil also

benefiting from a southern exposure. The 2006 growing season

started with an extended cool spring weather. Then an

ideal, long, temperature growing season followed, allowing

for slow, full and even ripening of the fruit. The harvest

began later than usual. As a result, the wine can be

characterized as rich and elegant with gorgeous aromatics.

The pale straw color is subtle and pure. The nose is fresh,

flinty and the wine expresses tropical notes of ripe peaches

and agrumes. The wine is balanced by mineral acidity and

fine grain tannins that keep the palate fresh, vibrant and crisp.

This food-friendly wine is ideal for light summer fare.

Please serve chilled.
