Organizing a Successful Scentsy Basket Party

Scentsy Basket Parties can be a great way to market your business and get sales, bookings and recruits through Hosts who find themselves too busy to do the traditional home show.

Basket Parties fit into anyone’s schedule and by providing this easy to follow binder, you are making their party fun and easy to complete.

Create a binder, for your Host, which includes all the necessary information to complete a successful show. Put the flyers and info in sheet protectors and place in a nice folder.

Here are some suggestions for your binder and Host basket:

Host Binder Cover – Enclosed is a sample on Page 5.
(4) Current Catalogs – Be sure your contact information is on your catalogs.
Copy of Catalog – Copy the complete catalog and put each page in a sheet protector and include in your binder. This way, your Host will always have a copy.
Order Forms – Minimum of ten. Again, be sure your contact information is on each form. Please advise the Host to have customer’s fill out their name, address and phone number on the order form for processing purposes.
Pocket Pouch – Include pens, calculator, and an example of a completed order form.
Monthly Specials – If there is a Scentsy monthly special/promotion, be sure to include a flyer detailing the month’s promotion. (Scent of the month flier in Resourse tab.)
Door Prize Slips – This will help you get names and contact info for those who might be interested in hosting a show or joining your team. One suggestion is to offer a car candle and room freshener as a Door Prize for your basket party.
Quick Price List – These can easily be made in a Word document. Give prices and shipping for direct shipped orders. See sample Page 9.
Scentsy Mini Testers – Include Scentsy Mini Testers and Warmers in a decorative, inexpensive basket, or bag. Add a candle bar to be used in the warmer.
Host Envelope – Great way for them to store their orders, money collected and party information. We have included a sample form which you can print on your envelope or tape to the outside. See example on Page 8.
Business Card – Include this for their future reference and orders.
Top Sellers – Include a Scentsy Top Sellers fragrance list. Keep in mind these change with the season. We provide an example on Page 4 for your use.
Opportunity Flyer – We have included an example in our guide.
Scentsy FAQ – Answers to our most asked questions. We have provided a FAQ sheet for your use. You will find this on Page 3.

Be sure to deliver your basket in a timely manner.

It’s important you follow-up with each Host to ensure they have a successful book or basket party. Let them know you are available and set a time to close their show.

Once you pickup your completed Basket Party, schedule a time that is convenient, for your Host, to go over their party total and free product earned. It’s best to do this away from their work place.

Important Note: After the Host receives their Scentsy products, schedule a time to go over the products and to answer any questions they might have. This is simply good customer service and follow-up.

In addition, be sure you have asked the Host and each guest if you can add them to your monthly newsletter to receive promotions and special offers. This will help you stay in touch and get continued sales from existing customers.

We know you have questions, so we are providing answers to our Frequently Asked Questions for your convenience.

Q. How long will Scentsy Candle Bars last?

A. They will last a minimum of 75 – 100 hours. However some have lasted longer. It depends on the strength of the fragrance.

Q. What kind of wax is used when making Scentsy Candle Bars?

A. Many customers have asked about the wax we use and why. Here is the scoop. We use a food-grade petroleum based wax. We chose this wax because of its superior scent loading ability, melt point and firmness. We looked into vegetable based waxes, and we just couldn’t get a quality candle bar.

The type of wax we use is a non-issue, with regard to the chemicals released while burning. We only warm the scent out of the wax – the wax remains in the warmer, thus there is no danger of chemicals being released into the home.

Q. Do I use a whole candle bar at a time?

A.Scentsy Candle Bars come in eight, break-a-part sections. Choose your favorite candle bar scent, break off one or two sections and place in your Scensty warmer. Next turn on your Scentsy warmer…relax and enjoy. The only thing warming out is the Scentsational Scent.

Q. How hot does the wax get when warmed?

A. The wax will get to just above body temperature, so it won’t burn or harm anyone.

Q. How do I clean the wax out of the warmer?

A. While the wax is warmed and melted pour into the garbage (if scent is out) or back into the scentsy bar shell if there is still scent left and you want to just exchange the scents, and then wipe the Warmer with a paper towels or tissue. Then just pop in your new Scentsy Candle Bar.

Q. What wattage of light bulb does the warmer use?

A. A standard 25watt for full size warmers, 20 watt for mid-size warmer, and 15 watt for plugin warmers. Each new Scentsy warmer comes with its own light bulb.

Q. How much is shipping?

A. Shipping is always free for home, basket and book parties totaling $150 or more. Direct ship orders to individual customers add 10%. Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and Canada is 10% with a Party and 20% shipping charge for direct ship orders in those states.

Q. How long until delivery?

A. Approximately 5 to 10 business days from when the party closes.

Scentsy - The Hottest Candles on the Market!

Authentic Scentsy Candle Bars
Authentic Scentsy Candle Bars are individual bars of wax made especially for melting in a Hot Scentsy Warmer! They are leadless, wickless, flameless and smokeless.

Scentsy Bars are made out of the same soft wax as a jarred candle, which is a softer wax and allows for the maximum amount of scent to be held in. This makes them stronger smelling and longer lasting than the tarts and votives currently found on the market. Our Scentsy Bars come in over 80 scentsational scents and each bar will last between 75 and 100 hours of “on time” in your hot Scentsy Warmer. Some may even last longer!

Hot Scentsy Warmers
Our warmers are electric and are heated with a 25 watt bulb which is included with each new warmer. The low wattage light bulb is warm enough to melt the wax, but will not get hot enough to burn if spilled. Therefore you can leave your warmer on for 24 hours a day. Our hot Scentsy Warmers come in a wide variety of colors and styles to match any home décor. Scentsy Warmers make an excellent night light as well.

How Does It Work?

Scentsy Candle Bars come in six, break a part sections. Choose your favorite candle bar scent, break off one or two sections and place in your Scensty warmer. Next turn on your Scentsy warmer…relax and enjoy. The only thing warming out is the Scentsational Scent. When you collect the basket party info from the Host, take it home and complete the show orders and totals. Then call your Host and go over everything…what they earned in free products, etc.

Office parties can be at children’s schools, dance studios, workplace, realtor’s office, doctor’s office and any place you can think of. Just use your imagination.

FAQ - Entering a Party Online

Follow these steps when entering a Party Order. Use the Order Tab at the top of your personal Scentsy website screen.

1) Choose which type of order you are entering, Home party, Basket party, Fair/show, individual order. Enter the Hostess Information. Check Yes on “Show on PWS” if you want this party order to show up on your Personal Web Site, for customer to order directly to the party order. Check Yes “Use Evites” if you want to send emailable invitations.

2) Enter the Shipping Information. (Note: You can click on the hostess and consultants for already saved address) Then click on the “Continue”.

3) Now you can “add a Guest” (in a box on the top of the screen.) This is also where you choose if they want the item shipped directly to them or if you want to add them to your newsletter. Once you have added a guest they will show up in your guest list. Here you will see a window under there name to enter the item number they wish to order, then click “add to cart”. If it is a multi pack you will select the multi pack item code then it will take you to a screen to fill in which items you want in your multi pack.

4) Once you are done entering all the guest orders, Click on the hostess free credit product and the hostess ½ off items. You will also have a booking coupon on the top left hand of the screen. choose the guest that this will apply to, and enter the item number. This is a half off item for the Prior hostess’ ½ off booking reward. If you don’t have a prior hostess you can use the ½ off item for yourself. There is a $5 hostess fee, but it is waived if you use all half off items. Once you are done enter the orders and hostess rewards, click on “Continue”.

5) Now you can add the guest, hostess and/or your credit card payments. Once you have finished the credit card payments and balance is down to 0. You can Click on “Process Payments and continue” and they will verify that the order is correct, type yes if it is and your order will be submitted to the home office.

(Note: Once the order is submitted you will not be able to change it.)

Congratulations on getting your order in! You can now watch the order number in your order history to see when it has been moved to shipped and be able to track the packages. If you have any other questions contact your upline consultant.
