Battle Bowling:

This will take up two stations. Place 6 pieces of colored tape on the floor in a triangular shape. Put a pin on each piece of tape. Do the same thing about 60 paces away. This will give you a total of 12 pins set up. Place a tennis ball for each team member behind one set of pins. Each player takes a turn to roll their tennis ball at the other teams pins. The other team is not allowed to block. If a pin gets knocked over it must be cleared out of the way. The next team will take their turn after every member from the other team has rolled. The game continues until all of the pins from one team are knocked down. When a round is finished they can reset for a new round. Let the team that rolled second now be the team to roll first.

10 Pin Bowling:

Place a bowling mat down on the gym floor. This rug has lanes, arrows, a foul line, and spots for pin set up. It looks like a real bowling lane. If you do not have the rug you can use red tape for the spots and foul line. Place a rubber bowling ball with finger and thumb holes in it next to the lane. This station is used to teach the correct way to bowl. Put 10 pins on the spots. Teach students about the 4 step approach, the different parts of a bowling lane, and the difference between a strike and a spare. Each person gets a turn to roll a strike and a spare. The other teammates are behind the pins in each corner out of the way. They are the pinsetters. They are responsible for clearing pins and setting them up for the next person. The players then rotate so that each person gets a turn.
