Family Storytime
Welcome Spring…
1. Hello, new friends
How do you do?
Say your name
And we’ll clap for you.
2. Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
All the king’s horses
and all the king’s men
Couldn’t put Humpty
together again.
3. Round and round the garden
Goes the teddy bear
One step, two steps tickle him under there.
4. Five little sparrows
High in the tree.
The first one says,
“What do I see?”
The second one says,
“I see the street.”
The third one says,
“And seeds to eat.”
The fourth one says,
“The seeds are wheat.”
The fifth one says,
“Tweet, tweet, tweet.”
5. Stretch and make a yawn so wide
Drop your arms down to your sides
Fold your hands and help me say
Our very quiet sound today
Shhh….
STORY ONE
6. Here we go round the Mulberry bush, the Mulberry bush, the Mulberrry bush.
Here we go round the Mulberry bush on a warm spring morning.
This is the way we plant our flowers, plant our flowers, plant our flowers.
This is the way we plant our flowers on a warm spring morning.
This is the way we weed our garden, weed our garden, and weed our garden.
This is the way we weed our garden on a warm spring morning.
This is the way we clap our hands, clap our hands, clap our hands.
This is the way we clap our hands on a warm spring morning.
7. The Itsy-bitsy spider went up the water spout.
Down came the rain and washed the spider out.
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain.
And the Itsy-bitsy spider went up the spout again.
Open shut them, open shut them
Give a little clap, clap, clap
Open shut them, open shut them
Put them in your lap, lap, lap
Creep them, creep them
Slowly creep them
Right up to your chin, chin, chin
Open wide - - AHHHHHH
Your little mouth - - AHHHH
But do not let them in!
STORY TWO
8. I’m a little teapot short and stout
Here is my handle
Here is my spout
When I get all steamed up then I shout,
“Just tip me over and pour me out.”
9. GOOD-BYE SONG
If it’s time to say good-bye clap your hands.
If it’s time to say good-bye clap your hands.
If it’s time to say good-bye, now don’t you cry.
If it’s time to say good-bye clap your hands.
If it’s time to say good-bye stomp your feet…
If it’s time to say good-bye wave your arms..
GOOD-BYE… see you next week.
