GRAHAM Etymology: The name was first found in Midlothian where researchers traced the family Norman origin quoted in the Domesday Book (1086 William the Conqueror)." Meaning; gravelly homestead, or "Granta's homestead, or from the gray home (Old English). From a Scottish surname, another source points out that Graham originated in Scotland. Graeme is the Scotch’s Spelling of Graham. Some other spelling variations include: Graham, Grahame, Grimes, Grame, Greumach (Gaelic), Gram, Gramm, Grayham, Graban, and many more.
