Dynamic Character Essay: A Tale of Two Cities

Prompt: In a well-developed 4 paragraph essay please analyze a dynamic character and explain what his or her change teaches readers about love, revenge, or charity. Please use 5 of your new vocabulary words in the essay and clearly mark them.

Outline:

Paragraph #1: This paragraph will contain a C.I.(Complete Identification), M.I.(Main Idea about love, revenge, or charity), and one D.I (Developmental Idea about a character’s change), and some relevant background information.

Paragraph #2:The first developmental paragraph begins with a clear T.S.(Topic Sentence). This paragraph introduces your D.I. (Developmental Idea about a character’s change) and connects the DI to your main idea about love, revenge, or charity. There should 3 examples, and 1 must be a direct quotation. The DQ should have a proper lead-in before it and a proper “DQ Sandwich” after it (possessive+ noun+ strong verb+ connection to DI and MI). End the paragraph with a C.S. (Concluding Sentence).

Paragraph #3:The second developmental paragraph begins with a clear T.S.(Topic Sentence). This paragraph continues your D.I. (Developmental Idea about a character’s change) and connects the DI to your main idea about love, revenge, or charity. There should 3 examples, and 1 must be a direct quotation.
