RMS Login Problems (updated last on 5July 2017)

Having problems logging in to RMS?

First… in case it takes more than a few minutes to address the issue, please write down what program/activity/case number/comments you were working on at the exact time of the sample listed above. This ensures the accuracy of what you’ll key in once the issue has been resolved.

If you simply need to update an RMS sample but cannot because the sample has expired, do NOT email the service desk, ‘reply’ to the RMS notification email and explain your issue. Someone from RMS will reply to your email.

Before you even try to login to RMS, if you simply cannot remember your WIEXT username or password or you have locked yourself out:

Click on scroll to and click on the ‘forgot your username/password’ and follow instructions provided. If you receive an ‘error’ when you enter your email address, you must call the DCF Service Desk directly at 855-264-6323 so they can update your email address in the system. While you have the person on the phone, also ask them to reset your password. Once you‘ve completed both tasks, you should be able to update the sample in RMS directly.Go back to the RMS notification email, click on the RMS link, log in, and enter your response.

If you tried to login and received an error stating ‘the RMS ID or password information entered is incorrect,’ please try to login again. Note, make sure that your caps lock is not on AND remember that your ID and password are case sensitive. If this was not the error you received, go to the last paragraph of these instructions. If you reentered your login ID and password and again received the exact same error, ‘the RMS or password information entered is incorrect,’ close out of RMS entirely. Go to DWD link and click on it… Scroll down to the bottom and click on the link for forgot your user name/password,’ and follow instructions. If you get an error when you enter your email address, then you must call the DCF Service Desk directly at 855-264-6323 and ask them to update your email address AND to reset your password. The RMS administrator does not have access/authority to reset passwords.

If you received a message stating that DWD sent you an email, then you should close out the DWD webpage. Go to your email inbox and look for an email from DWD that says ‘DWD/Wisconsin Logon Recovery Request’ in the subject line. Click on the first link, follow the instructions and you should be able to create/reset your password. Once you havereset your password, you should be able to update RMS directly.Go back to the RMS notification email, click on the RMSlink,log in, and enter your response.

If you received an error for anything other than login ID or password when you tried to log into RMS or other than ‘incorrect’ email address when you clicked on the link to DWD, contact the RMS Administrator for the respective program at the email addresses below.Please include the details of the error that you are receiving in your email. Screenshots of the error are extremely helpful and time saving.
