Subject: Give through the Campus Charitable Fund Drive

Dear Colleagues,

I’m excited to be this year’s section leader for the U of I Campus Charitable Fund Drive (CCFD), our workplace giving campaign, because it is one of the easiest and most effective ways for you to support your favorite causes. The 2017 campaign kicks off on Monday, September 18 and concludes on Friday, November 10.

Please join me in considering a gift to any of the more than 700 designated charities to whom you can contribute. It’s easy to give via payroll deduction. Together, we can make an incredible impact.

Consider the impact a donation makes and how far your dollars go:

  • $2 per pay period can plant 50 trees to help reduce carbon dioxide in our atmosphere.
  • $10 per pay period provides gold, silver and bronze medals to Special Olympics athletes.
  • Your $100 donation will fund research toward a cure for cancer.

Charities appreciate the U of I CCFD because it saves them time and money so more dollars go to services. There’s something for everybody in the CCFD, and it’s one of the best ways to give to the nonprofits you care about. Visit the CCFDwebsiteto find a cause you’re passionate about and give today! Your giving makes a difference.

Thank you,

Subject: Five reasons to give to the Campus Charitable Fund Drive

Dear Colleagues,

In 2016, [COLLEGE/UNIT] raised $[XX] and [XX]% of our colleagues pledged their support to the Campus Charitable Fund Drive. What an accomplishment! This year our goal is to do even better by raising $[XX] and increasing our employee participation rate to [XX]%.

If you haven’t already made a donation, please consider the benefits of donating through the Campus Charitable Fund Drive.

  1. The University partners with 12 umbrella agencies which represent more than 700 charities, so you can give to the cause that matters most to you. These umbrella agencies represent a wide variety of areas including the environment, education, and community health.
  2. If you favorite charity isn’t represented by one of the twelve agencies, you can still donate to that organization.
  3. The University is a major giver to many charitable agencies.
  4. The Campus Charitable Fund Drive save administrative costs for the agencies so they can make the most of the donations they receive.
  5. Donating through the Campus Charitable Fund Drive allows you to contribute a little from each paycheck that will add up to make a big difference.

Let’s work together to improve the quality of life in our community by donating to the Campus Charitable Fund Drive. You can donate online and how-to-guide can help you navigate the online process. Or, fill out a paper form and send in your donation via campus mail using the address on the form. If you have questions, email or call 217-265-6398 for assistance.Your giving makes a difference.
