AccountabilitySystemTheHigherEducationAccountabilitySystemisusedtotrackperformanceoncriticalmeasuresthatexemplifyhighereducationinstitutions'missions.TheSystemismodeledonthestate'shighereducationplan,ClosingtheGapsby2015.ItsmajorfocusisonthefourClosingtheGapstargetareasofparticipation,success,excellence,andresearch.
AccreditationAprocesssignifyingthataninstitutionhasapurposeappropriatetohighereducationandresources,programs,andservicessufficienttoaccomplishitspurposeonacontinuingbasis.CollegesinTexasshouldrefertothePrinciplesofAccreditation(replacestheCriteriaforAccreditation)bytheCommissiononCollegesoftheSouthernAssociationofCollegesandSchools(SACS).TheCBnowrecognizesotheraccreditingagencies,whichcanbefoundonourwebsiteatAccreditorRecognition.
AccumulatedDeferredMaintenance(ADM)Projectsfromprioryearsthatwerenotincludedinthemaintenanceprogrambecauseofperceivedlowerprioritystatusthanthosefundedwithinthebudget.
