The Palliative Care teaching team plan to continue the current approach of a spiral theme than runs throughout the course, linked in with other specialties.Teaching in the Regional Hubs is indicated thus***.

Year 4: Introductory Course(260 students)

Cambridge: One half day seminar, repeated 10 times.

Range of patients, needs & settings in Palliative Care.

Introduction to pain control.

Cambridge:10 x Intro Course half days.

CGC: Half day for 24/40 students during Clinical Skills 2 (March)

Year 4: Term 1. Core Clinical Practice(260 students)

Cambridge: One half day symposium during R&I week A

Two half-day seminars in R&I week B, repeated 5 or 3 times.

CGC: no Year 1 SSC

PC6(4). Year 4 Palliative Care cases seminars

Students bring patients they have met for discussion. Case 1.

Facilitated in 9 x 2 x small groups of 5 students each time.
