Collège Sturgeon Heights Collegiate is once again set to host the finest hockey tournament in Winnipeg, Manitoba for high school boys and girls. We would like to extend a warm welcome to the 2nd annual Huskies Male and Female Hockey Classic that will run out of the MTS IcePlex on October 27-3oth, 2011.

The Husky Classic will offer a landscape of balance and high standard competitiveness. The Classic will run a 12 team tournament for both boys and girls consisting of 4 divisions of 3 teams. Teams will be guaranteed a minimum 4 games with 8 out of the 12 teams playing 5 games total. For each game played, one player from each team will be awarded a game MVP.

If you are interested in sending a team to participate please read the information enclosed and submit your registration to the undersigned no later than June 28th. Please email your interest at your earliest convenience and send a non-refundable deposit in the amount of 50% of the fee $475.00 (total tournament fee $950 / team), with the enclosed application form, to secure your spot in the tournament. Applications will be reviewed and accepted based on receipt of deposit payment and confirmation of application with full details provided. Please note that any applications, which are incomplete or received after the deadline, may not be accepted. If any team is declined admission, their cheque will be returned promptly.

In September 2011, once all deposit payments and applications have been reviewed, the teams will be selected and you will be contacted with confirmation of your participation in the tournament. Upon confirmation, we ask that you forward the following information for programs and scouting packages, in advance of the tournament no later than October 1, 2011.

·  Team Rosters complete with player number, first and last name, position and grade level & birth years. Please include any affiliated players, coaches, managers and trainers who may also take part in the tournament games.

o  Please send the above information electronically as soon as possible to (Derek Bjornson) with regards to the girls teams.

o  Please send the above information electronically as soon as possible to (Nicole Lécuyer) with regards to the boys teams.

We would ask that the remainder of the tournament entry fee of $475 be forwarded to the school by October 1, 2011.
