Boarding Terms
PAYMENT POLICY:
Board fee will be paid at the start date of each month. The horse is not aloud to leave the premises if the board bill is not paid. If the board is not paid with 3 months Waterhill Farm will take over ownership of the horse.
FEED POLICY:
Waterhill offers a pellet grain and hay included in the board fee.
The horse owner must provide vitamins, supplements and special grains.
Blankets options to be determined on a individual basis.
INJURY POLICY:
If injuries occur, the owner will be contacted immediately. If we are unable to contact the horse owner, a call into the vet list below will be made. The owner is required to be present for all vet calls. If the owner is not able to be present we suggest that the owner contacts the vet for instructions on the injury. Owner will provide all medications and ointments. Owner will do daily medicating. Waterhill is available to administrate daily dresses/shots/etc. $10/ per day handling fee.
TURNOUT POLICY:
The horse will be turnout with a companion horse(s) of the same gender. Individual turn out, and limited turnout can be discussed. Turnout schedule is the same as the barn horses.
RIDING POLICY:
Approved helmet must be on when riding. The ring is open 7 days a week between 7am- 7pm. Ride at your own risk. Trail riding is offered on the property. No riding on the lawn. Riders under 16 years old must have a guarding; ages between 16-18 must have a guarding present if Jackie or Maryann are not on premises. Riding lessons can be scheduled with Jackie Hitt 607-434-8545. Other trainers are welcome. Training/ Exercising programs are offered as well. Contact Jackie Hitt.
BLACKSMITH POLICY:
Waterhill’s blacksmith and shoeing schedule is offered. If the horse owner cannot be present for the blacksmith a horse-handling fee will be added to board bill of $10 per horse. Other blacksmiths are welcome.
