Dear,

I am excited to be participating in Seeds of Learning's (SOL's) Work Group Program. In (fill in date) I plan to travel to Nicaragua to learn about, and work with others as we build and improve a much-needed school or learning center in a rural community.

As a Work Group Participant, I will helping to realizeSOL's mission to increase access to education and cross-cultural understanding. Our group, made up of (describe the make-up of your group) will spend 10 days working alongside community members to mix cement, lay bricks, and build friendships as we learn from each other. I see this experience as an opportunity to expand my understanding of my own culture as well as learn about another part of the world, and how people live there.Seeds of Learning has helpedbuild almost 160 classrooms to benefit over 35,000studentsand teachers across Central America.

In Nicaragua I will work in a small community alongside the local people living in a rural area to build apublic school, library or learning center. I will also be meeting with and working alongside some of Seeds of Learning’s high school and/or university scholarship students. I will spend time visiting the cultural sites and learning more about Nicaragua's education, history, economics, and politics.

Some of you have wondered how you can help and support me in this endeavor. Any support that you can give me in this trip will help very much, as I need to raise $1,400 plus airfare forthe trip (which usually is $600 - $850). You may write a check out to Seeds of Learning and be sure to putmy name in the memo area of the check so the money will go towards my trip. Please send the donation to me and I willsubmit it to SOL. All donations are tax-deductible, to the extent allowed by law, and SOL will send you athank you letter as a receipt of this donation to SOL.

Thank you very much.
