2012 ANNUAL MEETING – RON FLANAGAN SCHOLARSHIP & EDUCATION SILENT & LIVE AUCTION

The Ron Flanagan Scholarship and Education Auction is held each year at the annual meeting. It will take place on Thursday night, September 20, 2012 at the Horseshoe Bay Marriott Hotel in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. Last year the auction brought in approximately $50,000 which benefited 10 civil engineering students and helped fund the city / county seminars. The committee would like to produce more manuals, cd’s and dvd’s for training and educational purposes.

There are two different categories in the Auction. The Silent Auction is for items that are below $500.00 in value and the Live Auction is for items that are $501.00 and above in value.

Cash donations are being accepted in lieu of items to make it easier for everyone to participate. The Association will take the cash donations and purchase scholarship items for the auction. This has been proven to be a great way to participate with the least amount of effort.

Attached is a form that can be filled out and faxed back listing items, or can be mailed back with a cash donation. It is very important that we have all items donated to the auction in by September 3, 2012 to ensure that all items are listed in the auction brochure.

This year we would like to raise a minimum of $60,000 from the auction to keep our scholarship and education program meeting the needs of our industry and future leaders.

All items listed above, must be brought to the Annual Meeting registration desk at the time of registration or sent in to the Association before September 3, 2012. Cash donations are also accepted, cash donations should be mailed to the Association prior to September 3, 2012. All items of $500.00 or less are considered "Silent Auction" items and all items of $501.00 and above are considered "Live Auction" items.
