2. Learnings from 2010 workshop
· What are key learnings from 2010 workshop?

- Dave Watts- Have shorter times between breaks; and more breaks.
- NB. The schedule can be accommodated to address this.
- Consider having sound with the presentations on the web site.
- NB. This has been tried at the Gas Well Workshop – not satisfying.
- Should we consider the location for the Workshop?
- NB. It has been decided to hold it again next year in Dallas.

- Had a timing conflict with the PCP Workshop.
- How can we attract more people?
- Continuing Education was good.
- Breakfasts weren’t good.

- Some would like a shorter Exhibit time, i.e. fewer number of days.

- Ask Operating Company attendees how to attract more attendees.

3. Workshop dates for 2011
· Should we plan for a Sucker Rod Pumping System Workshop in 2011?
· If yes, when?
· Can we avoid conflict with the Harbison-Fischer school?
· If no, should we consider having one every other year, so in 2012, 2014, etc.?

- Discuss planning for 2011.- We should have this next year
- We did have a conflict with the HF school.
- We need to ask them to avoid having their school on this week.
- We will have it on Sept. 13 – 16, 2011.

- Is everybody OK with having the 2011 Workshop on Sept. 13 – 16, 2011?- Will someone volunteer to discuss these dates with Harbison-Fischer and ask them to avoid using the same dates for their school?
- The dates are confirmed.
- H-F will try to avoid a conflict with our dates.

- The dates for the 2011 Workshop are “firm” if we want to hold the event and if we want to keep it in Dallas.- See the next agenda item.
- We would like to have the Workshop in the Renaissance Hotel or Marriott Courtyard Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City, or in the north area. The preference is downtown.
- Ronda Brewer will look into these options.
- We would like to stick with the dates of Sept. 13 – 16, 2011. This will not conflict with an SPE meeting or with the Harbison-Fischer Pump School.
4. Workshop venue for 2011
· If there is to be a workshop in 2011, where should it be held?
· What specific location – i.e. hotel?
· Do we stay with the same hotel in Dallas?

- Discuss the venue for the 2011 Workshop.- We will have it in the Dallas Wyndham North Hotel again next year.
- We need to ask the Hotel to serve better breakfasts.
Agenda and Minutes: Oct. 12, 2010
- Is everyone in agreement with having the 2011 Workshop in the Dallas Wyndham North Hotel?- Ronda Brewer. When you set up the dates with the hotel, please discuss the meal selection and see if we can have better breakfasts.
- The hotel venue is agreed.
Agenda and Minutes: Dec. 8, 2010
- The 2010 Sucker Rod Pumping Workshop was not a financial success: it lost money.- Attendance was low and the hotel costs were up over the previous year.
- The contract has not yet been signed with the Hotel for 2011.
- We have the following options:
- (1) Hold the Workshop in Dallas at the time and place previously discussed.
- (2) Hold the Workshop in Dallas, at another venue.
- (3) Hold the Workshop in a different location that might be more pertinent for a Sucker Rod Pumping meeting. Midland, Lubbock, and Houston have been suggested.
- (4) Move to having the Workshop every other year. So skip 2011 and have the next Workshop in 2012.
- The discussion on the rest of the agenda will depend on the results of this discussion.
- Russell Stevens suggested that we move to every other year, but do it on a different year than the PCP workshop. Norm Hein agrees.
- Another optional location is Oklahoma City.
- After discussion, we agree that we will hold the 2011 Workshop in Oklahoma City.
- We will review the meeting frequency after the 2011 Workshop: that is, should it be annual or bi-annual?

- Has a venue been found and secured for the Workshop in Oklahoma City?- Are the dates of Sept. 13 – 16, 2011 OK with the hotel?
- Ronda Brewer is in discussion with Hotels in Oklahoma City.
- We may have to adjust dates if we choose the Renaissance as they are full on Sept. 13 – 16, 2011.

- The Renaissance Hotel cannot hold the event the week of Sept. 13. They could hold it the last week of August.
- This week won’t work for some of the Steering Committee members.
- Ronda Brewer will check with more hotels in the area and will let us know what she finds.
- We can have a teleconference on an emergency basis if we need to have one to make a decision.

- We will base the charges for next year on the review of this year’s income and expenses.

- We could have a session on pumping gassy wells, horizontal wells, wells that produce from shale formations, etc.

- Russell Stevens recommends that someone agree to solicit presentations from various companies. This will left open, except for the next point.
- Lynn Rowlan will ask the people who come to the Echometer schools if they would like to make a Technical Presentation at the Sucker Rod Workshop.
