Hunt Brothers® Pizza Makes Donation to Support U.S. Armed Forces
Company partnered with military charity to raise $25,000 for troops and their families
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 27, 2013) –Hunt Brothers® Pizza presenteda $25,000 check to the Support U.S. Armed Forces organization at the Sunday Military Family Day at the Liberty Park Amphitheater in Clarksville, Tenn., Aug. 18.All of the proceeds benefit the military charity, which provides welcome home packages, deployed family assistance packages, veterans programs and military appreciation events for the troops and their families.
Participating Hunt BrothersPizza locations offered ribbons and asked consumers to donate $1 to Support U.S. Armed Forces as they stopped in to fill up on gas and pizza at their local convenience store. Hunt Brothers Pizza has a long-standing tradition of military support as evidenced by the American flag symbol and ‘United We Stand, In God We Trust’ printed on every product package.
“This is a small way for our consumers and company to say thank you and show our appreciation to those who sacrifice so much to protect our country and serve,” said Keith Solsvig, vice president of marketing for Hunt Brothers Pizza. “Hunt Brothers Pizza is proud to support our returning servicemen and women by making this donation to the Support U.S. Armed Forces organization.”
The event featured country music artist Mark Wills, special kids zone games, face painting and food and beverages provided by Hunt Brothers Pizza.
