Welcome to CKC Summer Day Camp! We are very excited about the upcoming summer program, which promises to be better than ever! As a parent, you can expect the safety that comes from a fully licensed program located on elementary school grounds. The information within this brochure exists as a supplement to our Parent Handbook. All policies stated in our Parent Handbook apply.
Registration
RegistrationbeginsApril 9,2018and is open until filled. A nonrefundable registration fee of $85.00 is charged per family.First week tuition and registration fee are due at time of registration.
Enrollment Process
Families enrolled in CKC’s 2017/18school year programs will need to complete a Summer Camp Enrollment packet in our administrative office.
New families, as well as families returning from last summer but not enrolled in 2017/18 school year, will need to complete a new student enrollment packet and a summer packet. New families will also need an orientation with a Camp Director. Please visit our administrative office to register your child(ren) for summer camp!
What’s CKC’s Summer Day Camp Like?
This year, CKC Summer Day Camp will be offered at Gault & Soquel Elementary Schools. The program is suited for children who have completedTK/Kindergarten through entering grade 6. The program will offer a variety of activities, clubs, events, and field trips suitable for all ages. Two nutritious snacks are provided daily. Our staff to child ratio is a maximum of 1:14. Our staff consists of fully qualified teachers and site directors who will teach a variety of science, music, sports, cooking, drama, and art activities. We offer 4 and 5 day/week camp schedules.

Our two step sliding scale is based on family size and income. Information is available in our administration office.
5 Days/ Week: Step 1-$174/week
Step 2-$200/week
4 Days/Week: Step 1-$142/week
Step 2-$163/week
Please be prompt when picking up your child. Campers picked up after 6:00 pm will be charged a family late fee according to our parent handbook policy.
Refunds & Credits
Refunds or credits will not be given for missed days and a two week written notice is required for any schedule changes.

Field Trips
Detailed days and times will be posted at the site and on our summer calendars.
-We swim at Simpkins & Harvey West pools and have a few beach days. We will have lunch at a local park first.
-We will be going on many off site field trips in Santa Cruz in our CKC vans. For field trips to Monterey,Gilroy, and San Jose we will be taking a bus.
-Field Trips Include: Gilroy Gardens, Dennis the Menace Park, The Tech Museum, The Mystery Spot, and John D. Morgan Park.
-Walking field trips will include local parks, libraries, and the fire station located near our site.
