  5. Names Grant – Renee moving focus of study to Hawaii; KIRC not responsive
  6. Category 4 CAP – see DIAC Report for proposed plan; board to vote via email on proceeding in 1 week
  7. Category 3 CAP – roll travel budget into Cat 4 grant to wrap up neighbor island updates on strategic and business plans and start DIAC plan; discussed data portals and NOAA data server

  2. Education [DM] – 3 documents available on Education site – Hawaii GIS Education, Maui GIS Employment (NSA funded), GIS Certification white paper
  3. Professional Development [AJB] – April lunch with City speaker needs a venue; McCoy Pavilion; dining area an at Paki Hale across from Kapiolani Park suggested; brown bag
  4. Community [RJ] – wrap up of HCPO conference; HIGICC share is $8,000; APA will pick up full replacement cost of OP's lost projector ($600+); start planning annual meeting

  1. Membership [GSM] – membership meeting after board meeting today
  1. Policy and Compliance [MH] – waiting for notes from Mark to be posted
  1. IT [DM] – looking for more update features for existing databases for WA interface

  1. Derek/Sandy – [HW] – USGS press release coming out about NRCS/USGS Digital Globe agreement for Hawaii imagery; eff 5/1 HW will be Temp Acting Team Chief for 120 days; [SM] – Benjamin McMillan GIS Analyst starts at HAVO in April
  1. Joan/Arthur/Salim – [JDS] – Dennis Kim leaving GIS Program; CIP web application updated as of 3/24/2010; possible CIO position for governor’s office; [GSM] – MAGIS to have re-opening event in early September; okay to have HIGICC information/membership available
  1. Garrett/Adrian – [GJ] – Pictometry imagery delivery imminent; Kauai furloughs start in July

  1. NSGIC Midyear wrap-up [AB] – DOI budget getting cut for liaisons; Arthur to write letter of support on behalf of HIGICC for Henry’s position; good resources at NSGIC website; Imagery for the Nation / Virtual USA; broadband tester
  1. Adrian Fitzgerald – resignation from Board; suggestions for replacement [AB] – Arthur to request letter of resignation from Adrian; looking for potential candidates to fill remainder of Adrian’s term through June
  1. Elections – volunteers for nominations and elections committees [AB] – Henry and Carol volunteered for the elections committee
