“Making The Impossible Possible:”Join Friendship Sports Association, Inc. (FSA) and A Better Community For All (ABC4All) in supporting The Great Global Friendship Run!
The May Edition of "From The Heart"looks at the various ways being anticipated for participation by ABC4All Mentors with The Great Global Friendship Run (GGFR) . Friendship Sports Association, Inc. (FSA) 501(c)(3) and The Foundation For A Better Community For All (FABC) are committed to providing maximum support for GGFR’s six-year mission going into all the world. World Ultra Distance Runner, Stan Cottrell, and FABC Founder Burton Danet are united in the commitment to bring to 250+ locations ways tospread cross-cultural friendship and raise $1 Billion for the children of the world who are without natural parents. The implications for this Great Mission can only be imagined at the start of this effort during the Summer of 2013. As Stan runs and reaches out to local people across the world, and as the run venues host myriad events, there will be extensive media exposure of needs and an awakening generating support for worthwhile causes. The plight of the 143 million children in orphanages is well known with many across the world already focusing efforts in various locales on their behalf, yet still with dire needs for funding support. It is not just the needs of orphans alone, however, but of children and youth, many of whom can become future leaders. Thiscannot be considered too important for the welfare of the world!
The stated Goal of GGFR: Raise over $1 Billion for the world’s orphaned and abandoned children living in homes without their natural parents or on the streets, provide resources, aid and encouragement to give them a real hope and a future, and dramatically reduce the prostitution, drugs, crime and suicide to which so many now befall without a sense of hope. To be truly effective, the GGFR will create ongoing mechanisms to continue funding them long after we are gone. Consider:
- A billion people contributing would represent only 1/7th of the world’s population.
- Sharing $1 Billion for the welfare of children without natural parents will meaningfully help in meeting their needs.
- So if just 1 in 7 of the world's people gave just $1 each, we would reach our minimum goal of $1 Billion for the world's orphans! So please, if not more, give your $1 today!
- The need is great!60% of girls are lured into prostitution. 70% of boys become hardened criminals. So we hope you will consider an even more generous gift...whatever is laid on your heart to give, whatever you can afford.
- Your support is needed for this mega-sports-charity-event, for the 6-year Run to raise the funds, spread awareness of the plight of the world's children, spread cross-cultural understanding and friendship, and give the invaluable hands-on touch with the children during visits to orphanages and schools - starting with Stan going to Ethiopia NOW!
- The Ethiopia Run events start May 28, 2013! … The time is urgent! The cause is just!
PLEASE DONATE ($1: 1 billion donations does it!) FOR THE RUN FOR THE ORPHANS!

We are excited to announce that international long distance runner Stan Cottrell has agreed to join
us in our multifaceted outreach project in Hawassa, Ethiopia, May 28th - June 16th, 2013. Mr. Cottrell
is launching his six year Great Global Friendship Run from Ethiopia. His cherished appearance
in the southern region of Ethiopia is a fantastic boost to the efforts that we have put together to impact this region in a major way.
Mr. Cottrell has run all over the world. We are honored that he is launching this ambitious
campaign from the site of our festival in Hawassa. The overriding purpose of this worldwide
friendship run is to call attention to the plight of orphan children in the world. Stan is convinced that
calling attention to these millions of children can successfully rally international interest in coming
to their aid. Allow me to quote Stan, “Companionate people all over the world will, without a doubt,
generously support these displaced children as they are made aware of their horrific plight. I truly
believe that as a result of this Great Global Friendship Run we shall not only awaken people to the urgent need to rescue these children but we will see millions respond with generous help.”
It will be a euphoric moment when this famous runner comes into the soccer field in Hawassa,
Ethiopia. Thousands will cheer him and greet him with loving kindness. The Ethiopian people have
hearts of compassion and they will applaud Mr. Cottrell’s desire to rally the world population around these millions of orphans.
Please join us in celebrating the launching of Stan Cottrell’s Great Global Friendship Run. It
will foster friendship in every country of the world. Thanks Stan for your untiring efforts at spreading
goodness across the globe. I can only imagine the cheers that must be going up from the grandstands of Heaven as God announces to the saints the worthy intentions of this humble servant.
Gratefully Yours,
Dr. Jerry L Spencer
