STUDENT BY-LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
Reporting to the Chief By-Law Enforcement Officer, the Student By-Law Enforcement Officer will enforce the Town’s parking, noise control, burning, animal control and other regulatory by-laws on behalf of the Town of Bracebridge. The candidate requires excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; the ability to work independently; the ability to lift 25kg and the ability to deal with the public in a friendly, courteous and effective manner.
The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution in Municipal Law Enforcement, Police Foundations, Law, Criminology or a related discipline. Students are required to be returning to school in the fall. First Aid/CPR Certification and WHMIS training is an asset.
The successful applicant must be able to work shift work and standby duty,have a reliable vehicle to use on Town business, possess a valid Class “G” Driver’s licenseand provide a current drivers’s abstract and a current Criminal Reference Check.
HOURLY RATE: $13.00
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: May 1 to August 31, 2015 (35 hours per week)
