EQUITATION 10.15 AM START Arena 1

This class will be judged on a mixture of turnout (by rider) and rider’s performance on the day. For younger members the judge may give you a short piece to ride as an individual otherwise you will be asked to give a prepared short show in your pairs.

Class 6: Assisted/lead rein Equitation

Class 7: 10 years & under Equitation

PAIRS can be made up on the day, it will run as individuals if not enough in class

Class 8: 11& 12 years Equitation (PAIRS)

Class 9: 13 –15 years Equitation (PAIRS)

Class 10:. 16 years and over Equitation (PAIRS)

HANDY HUNTER 10:30AM START Arena 2

A MIXTURE OF A JUMPING CLASS AND HANDY PONY - Could include- pegging washing, dismounting and mounting, stepping stone! Be prepared!

Horse distances will apply.

Class 15: Open. Maximum height of fences 1m (3ft 3ins)

Class 14: Intermediate. Maximum height of fences 90cms (3ft)

Class 13: Novice. Maximum height of fences 75cms (2ft 6ins)

Class 12: Mini Novice Maximum height of fences 60cm (2ft)

Class 11: Minimus. Maximum height of fences 45cms (1ft 6ins - maybe assisted)

MOUNTED GAMES Arena 3 10:45am

(Max 4 games to be decided on the day)

Class 30: Under 10 years.

Class 31: 11 – 12 years.

Class 32: 13 years and Over

Weather /Time dependent NOVELTY CLASSES Arena 3

Class 28A: Best child handler (for children aged 11 years and under).

28B Best child handler (for children aged 16 years and under).

Points will be given for each place in class and a total for the day will be given for overall prizes.

The Overall PointsTrophies will be awarded to The Moray and Nairn Members who accumulate the most points in each Class in their age group.Points will be awared as follows 1st Place= 6 points, 2nd Place= 5 points, 3rd Place= 4 points, 4th Place=3 points, 5th Place= 2 points,6th place=1 point. The most overall points will win the Trophy.

ALL HATS MUST BE TO RECOMMENDED P.C. STANDARD -Pony Club members must have their hats tagged.

Pony Club members may not wear spurs without permission from DC, which must be shown on the day.

AGE AS AT 1ST JANUARY IN CURRENT YEAR UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED.

The organisers reserve the right to SPLIT OR AMALGAMATE classes or move riders entered in the wrong class.

IN THE CASE OF CLASSES CLASHING COMPETITORS MUST DECIDE WHICH CLASS IS PRORITY

Any objection on the day must be made in writing to the Branch Committee and be submitted to the secretary’s caravan accompanied by a £10 deposit which will be returned if the objection is not considered to be frivolous. It will be addressed at the next committee meeting.

ALL DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON SHORT LEADS AT ALL TIMES

ALL GATES TO THE SHOW FIELD MUST BE CLOSED AT ALL TIMES TO PREVENT LOOSE HORSES ESCAPING

Health and Safety Policy

This competition is organised in accordance with Pony Club Health & Safety legislation. The organiser has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all official stewards.

  • Emergency services must have access to all parts of the competition site at all times therefore members of the public must not park vehicles so as to obstruct access
  • Any action hazardous to Health & Safety should be reported to the organisers:
  • In case of emergency members of the public should contact the nearest official or dial 999.
  • Legal Liability: Save for death or personal injury caused by negligence of the organisers or anyone for who they are in law responsible, neither the organisers, nor the Pony Club, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Photographic Rights – competitors and their parents/guardians have given authorisation for any photographs/videos/film or TV footage or other images taken by press/outside agencies/ official Pony Club photographers at authorised Pony Club activities, including the Area Interbranch competitions 2013, of persons or horses/ponies taking part in Pony Club events to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of The Pony Club and/or official sponsors of The Pony Club.
