OCTOBER 15TH JILL AND JOE FEBBO

OCTOBER 22ND LAURA POKOCKY

Dear Friends in

Christ Jesus,

The Lord invites us all to the Kingdom of God where there will be an eternal celebration of love and kindness. Jesus wants us all to be with Him forever. As we prepare ourselves to enter into heaven, it is also our duty to help those who are away from the Church and those who are struggling to experience the love and kindness of Christ our Lord. We want our family and friends with us in heaven forever. Yes, we want them to have ultimate heavenly experience forever. So Let us bring them back to God and let us help them know that God loves them the way they are and He wants them all back to His fold. Christ, our Lord compares the Kingdom of God to a wedding banquet to which we are all invited. Sol let us not go alone but take all our family members and friends and celebrate it with joy and happiness. God Bless, Fr. Peter

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT OF THE WEEK

“Everybody today seems to be in such a terrible rush, anxious for greater developments and greater riches and so on, so that children have very little time for their parents. Parents have very little time for each other and in the home begins the disruption of peace of the world.”

SAINT’S CORNER

ST. IGNATIUS OF ANTIOCH (October 17th)

Ignatius is believed to have been a convert to Christianity and a disciple of John the Evangelist. Bishop of Antioch for 40 years, he was arrested during the persecution under Trajan, condemned for confessing Christ and taken in chains to Rome. Ignatius arrived in Rome about the year 107 and was taken directly to the amphitheatre, where lions devoured him. Ignatius dictated seven letters on the Church while going to Rome. These letters are now counted among the treasures of early Christianity.

COUNTER’S SCHEDULE

Please pick up the new schedule on the back table in the plastic stand if you haven’t done so all ready.

TWENTY-EIGHTH SUNDAY OF

ORDINARY TIMES

(Liturgical colour GREEN, symbolizing LIFE & HOPE)

FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER

Sanctuary candle for this month is burning for the speedy recovery of those who are sick. May God continue to bless and heal them in Christ Jesus.

October is the month of the Rosary, because of the anniversary of victory at the Battle at Lepanto and the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary occurring in October. The Battle of Lepanto and the institution of the feast day took place in the 17th century; in the late 1800’s, Pope Leo XIII officially dedicated the entire month to devotion to the Holy Rosary.

LET US PRAY THE ROSARY….

“The Rosary is the ‘weapon” for these times.” –Saint Padre Pio

“Give me an army saying the Rosary and I will conquer the world.” –Blessed Pope Pius IX

“The greatest method of praying is to pray the Rosary.” –Saint Francis de Sales

FIRST RECONCILIATION AND FIRST COMMUNION

We are happy to announce that some of our school children are getting ready to receive the Sacraments. Please continue to pray for them.
