RHS Competition Cheer Squad
COMMITMENT
RHS Comp Squad is an 8 month activity. Students and parents need to understand the financial, time, travel, and emotional commitments that are required to participate. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing at 5-6 competitions, weekly practice, fundraising, as well as some possible school activities from July 2017 – March 2018.
Conduct & Responsibilities
· While representing RHS Comp Squad, all parents and athletes will be expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner.
· Cheerleaders will not use foul language and will not make disrespectful comments about each other or other squads.
· The use of any social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) is not to be used for any negative comments. Suspension or removal from the team could be a consequence to any member of the squad who shows inappropriate or negative activity on their social media about themselves or any others.
· NO posting of our performances on ANY social media until after Nationals in February.
· Cheerleaders will be on time to practice and events, giving 100% effort at all times.
· Cheerleaders recognize practices will consist of conditioning and running drills, and will not complain.
· Proper nutrition is essential to a successful performance. No junk food or soda is permitted before practice, games or performances.
· No cell phone use during practice for any reason. Cheerleaders agree to “surrender” phones for practices.
· Parents/guardians understand practice times may change depending on facility availability. Practices within 2 weeks of a competition are mandatory! No vacations to be scheduled during the 2 weeks prior to each competition. Additional days (including Saturdays) may be added around each competition time.
· All jewelry must be removed for any practice or performance.
· Piercings of any kind (ear, nose, belly button) are not permitted during the season. Band-Aids are not an acceptable option.
· No visible tattoos.
· No wild hair coloring or major changes without coaches’ approval.
· Grades are crucial to the success of our team. It is each cheerleader’s responsibility to maintain passing grades in all their classes. If you are put on academic probation during any part of the season you may lose your spot on the team. We compete with every member of the squad out on the floor and cannot choreograph you in and out of the routine due to grades!
· All fees and payments are due on time. Failure to stay in good financial standing may affect your ability to stay on the squad.
A VIOLATION OF ANY RULES LISTED ABOVE MAY RESULT IN SUSPENSION OR REMOVAL!
I have read and agree to the above statements of conduct and responsibilities.
