Worked from virtual office, and drove new projects with major electronic OEMs in consumer, industrial and medical markets. Liaised designs, orders and contracts with Far East factories, driving all project details design to production. Provided expert technical presentations to customers selling all display technologies consultatively increasing order values by more than 50%. Recruited by the CEO, led the sales and marketing effort for this start-up backlighting technology. Drove strategy for product development, targeted account strategy and product positioning.Managed forecast and a sales department of 7 direct employees, 12 US sales representatives, and 6 European agents. 250 employees, $500 million, manufacturer of mechanical connectors and STAX a silver/gold loaded, silicone rubber, elastomeric connector used in electronic assemblies to connect flash memory cards, cellular microphones and speakers, and PCB to PCB connections.

Recruited by CEO, started as applications engineer with sales management responsibility for 50% of order backlog and most of the continental US. Traveled extensively in the US and was promoted to Marketing Manager in 1995 and Product Manager in 1996. Recognized for consistently high profit margins by building design value.

•Sales and marketing plan led to company sale to Augat in 1996 for $5 million (on sales of $6 million).

•Saved Planar business worth $480,000 annually by managing product improvement to meet customer design requirements and revitalized lost AT&T project generating an additional $620,000 booking (43% margin business).

•Product manager for Augat miniature card connector for flash memory users. Successfully built product awareness thru PR and mailing programs, convincing Intel and AMD to implement and design around our products.
