2 Man FourBall/Chapman
Local Rules April 2nd, 2016
- All Play is from BlueTees.
- USGA Rules in so far as they are not at variance with the following specific Local Rules apply, please review the 2016 Riverbend Men’s Club Hardcard for additional local rules in effect. The Format is stroke play, 9 holes Fourball and 9 holes Chapman.
- For the 9 holes (holes 1-9) played as a FOUR BALL (Bestball) the following reminders and please see Rule 31.
A side may be represented by either partner for all or any part of the stipulated 9 holes. Both partners need not be present. An absent partner may join his partner between the play of two holes but not during the play of a hole.
The side is penalized for breach of the maximum 14 club rule by either partner.
Balls belonging to the same side may be played in any order the side considers best.
If a competitor’s breach of a Rule assists his partner’s play the partner incurs the applicable penalty in addition to the penalty incurred by the competitor.
SCORING: The marker is required to record for each hole the gross score of whichever partner’s score is to count. The gross scores to count must be individually identifiable (listed for a specific player), otherwise the side is disqualified. Only one partner needs to sign the scorecard.
- For the 9 holes (holes 10-18) played as a CHAPMAN.
Each player/partner will play a stroke from the teeing ground. The players will play their partner’s resultant shot made from the teeing ground. At the conclusion of the second stroke by both players/partners, the team will select the ball they wish to play into the hole, Players must alternate strokes until the hole is completed. No player/partner may play two consecutive shots. If the partners play out of turn the penalty is two strokes. The player must return and replay the last stroke in the correct order. IF NOT CORRECTED before the partners play from the next teeing ground the side is disqualified.

- Committee decisions are final. The Rules Committee for this event isScott Cowger, David Fairbairn,Larry Rann.
- Handicap – players are responsible to ensure the handicap posted on the scorecard is correct before returning scorecard to the committee.
- Four ball scores for each individual player may be posted by the player. Team scores will not be posted.
