Normal Kingsley Invite

The bus will leave from in front of GMS at 2:00 p.m. We are hoping to be back by 9:15 p.m. We will have athletes call with a more specific time.
Athletes should take a snack and a drink. Concessions will be available. T-shirts will be for sale. We will stop at McDonald’s on the way home.
The race schedule is as follows:
4:30 p.m. Varsity Girls--- Ella B, Nia G, Ava G, Ella G, Emma L, Carly W, Ainslie W
5:00 p.m. Varsity Boys--- Mitchell B, Samson D, Nick H, Dequan P, Jon S, Lleyton T, Drew V
5:30 p.m. Open Girls---all girls not in varsity race
6:00 p.m. Open Boys---all boys not in varsity race
Race times are approximate. They will move ahead of schedule if a race finishes earlier than the 30 minute allotted time. Awards will follow the last race.
Medals will be awarded to the top 5 finishers and ribbons for runners 6-20 in each race. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 teams of each varsity race.

The meet will be held at Fairview Park in Normal. Fairview Park is located off Main Street in Normal. Take 55 North to exit 165A (Main Street/US 51) onto N Main Street. Go 1.42 miles. Turn right onto Fairview Park Road.

Postseason: We will email you Saturday morning the 30th letting you and your athlete know if they have made the post season.
We are glad your son/daughter was part of our team. Beginning Monday, October 2nd, practice is only for varsity athletes. Practices will be after school Monday-Thursday and before school on Fridays beginning October 2nd.
Glenwood is hosting the IESA Cross Country Sectionalat South Community Park in Chatham on Saturday, October 7th. The girls 1st race starts at 10:00 a.m. with the boys race to follow. Come out and cheer on the Titans as they race to qualify for the state meet.

Clean uniforms will be collected on Monday, October 16th. GMS athletes should take their uniforms to Coach Mattera's room (317) before school. GIS athletes should take their uniforms to the main office.
PLEASE PLACE CLEAN UNIFORMS IN A PLASTIC BAG LABELED WITH THE NAME OF THE ATHLETE. THANK YOU.
