Creating a SABES Account Video Transcript

In this video we’ll walk through the steps of creating an account on the SABES website.

The SABES system and website are designed to be resources for adult basic education programs and practitioners.

With a SABES account, you can sign up to receive automatic email notifications when new offerings, resources, and news are added to the SABES website and calendar. You can also register more quickly for SABES offerings, join the mailing lists of the SABES PD Centers of your choice, and keep track of the SABES offerings that you have registered for.

Thanks to funding from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, all SABES professional development offerings, resources, and materials are available free of charge for adult educators in Massachusetts.

To begin creating your SABES account, visit the home page of the SABES website at www.sabes.org.

Select the “Log in” button from the top right.

Then, select the “Create new account” tab. Fill out the “Create new account” form. Required fields are indicated with a red asterisk.

Be sure to scroll down and complete all the sections of the form.

In the “My Mailings” section of the form, select the boxes to subscribe to receive periodic emails from the SABES PD Centers you are interested in receiving mailings from.

By selecting the box next to the word “SABES”, you will subscribe to the SABES mailing list and receive our quarterly newsletter and periodic emails with system-wide news.

If you would like to receive automatic email notifications as soon as new offerings, news, and resources are added to the SABES website, be sure to select the boxes in the “My Notifications” section.

You will be asked to type some verification text before completing the form.

When you are finished filling out the form, select the “Create new account” button at the bottom of the page.

When registering for SABES PD offerings, log in to your SABES account first so that the offerings that you have registered for will appear in your “My Registrations” tab.

If you forget your SABES password, visit the “Request new password” tab from the login page. Enter the email address or username you used when creating your SABES account and select “E-mail new password.” An email will be sent to you with instructions for how to reset your password.

Remember to check the SABES website regularly because here you will find important system-wide information and updates. You will also find links to the SABES Calendar, the Massachusetts Adult Literacy Hotline, and the listing of ABE job openings in Massachusetts.
