The Smoking Advice Service (SAS) provides smoking cessation support across Grampian. A vacancy exists for an SAS Administrator, who will have a central role to play in ensuring the service operates effectively. Main duties of the postholder will include responding to all calls made to the helpline during office hours (including the provision of brief advice), ensuring the administrative processes of the service are effectively carried out, provision of data from the service database to allow for analysis of the service, and provision of secretarial support to the SAS Advisory Group and SAS team meetings.

Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years experience in a secretarial or administration capacity and be educated to Standard Grade level (including English). Experience of database use is essential as is a good understanding of major office software packages. With the ability to plan and anticipate work in advance and to prioritise a workload, candidates should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
