Strategic purpose statement / This qualification is intended for those who have some knowledge in TeAo Māori and experience working with Maori communities who are seeking a formal Maori Public Health qualification at an introductory level.
The purpose of the qualification is to advance from a kaupapa Maori base, transferrable skills and knowledge required to protect and develop Maori determinants of health and wellbeing for current and future generations.
Graduates of this qualification will develop skills and knowledge to contribute to promoting, advocating, educating, and facilitating issues relating to Maori public health.
