After thereleaseoftheirlatest, highly-acclaimedstudiorecord, »Heroes«, Swedish heavy metal heroesSABATONhit high chartpositionsall over Europe, includingSweden (#1), Finland (#2) and Germany (#3). The »Heroes« tour has also beenanotherstephigherontothe throne of heavy metal: SABATONplayevenbiggerandmostly sold-out venues all overtheworldandbroughtalongthebigguns… literally:Forquitesome time nowtheSwedeshavebeenaccompaniedbythetanksAudiandWalther; withthem, a mercilessdrumfirehitsthecrowd at everyshow. Bothtankswere on stageduringtheirheadlineconcert at a sold-out Wacken-Festival in frontof 85.000peopleandduringtheirconcert at theirhometownfestival in Falun, Sweden, whichthebandorganizethemselves, too. These showswerebighighlightsofthe»Heroes« tour so far. So thebanddecidedtorecordbothshowsfor an upcoming live DVD/CD packagecalled»Heroes On Tour«. Pär Sundströmcommented: “Wehavealwaysaimedtobe a band peoplelovetosee live, forthe simple reasonwelovetoplay live. Withthis DVD/Blu-ray releasewehopetosharesomeofthatfeelingwithyou.
