The meeting was called to order at 10:23am by President Clint Bowman with 13 members present.
Clint read the minutes of March 28, 2015 Convention Business meeting. Dave Selenke moved to accept the minutes. Cory Foth seconded, motion passed.
Treasurer Brian Sigman past out copies of the Treasurer report. Noted on the report -donations at the door $239; live and silent auctions took in $3,245; income from convention $2,694 after all expenses. Tom Bowman moved to accept the report as printed; seconded by Tim Stidham; motion passed.
Comments on Convention: Cory Foth had contacted TV and papers in Wichita to get publicity; 100 mounts were entered; schedule was good; and seminars were good.
Old Business:
KAT Hall of Fame discussion led by Dave Selenke. He moved to have the Hall of Fame begin at the 2016 Convention; seconded by Tim Stidham and it passed. Cory Foth moved to have a plaque; make Richard H. Schmidt the first honoree with his name on the plaque at the 2016 convention; and from nominations voted on at the business meeting, make the top three (3) the honorees for 2016 and names announced at the convention banquet, with their names added to the plaque before the 2017 convention. Motion seconded by Jerry Kissinger. Motion passed.
Dave Selenke moved to have Dave Rickard make a plaque, KAT Hall of Fame with logo, and with a brass plate – 2015 Richard H. Schmidt, and work with a budget of $250. The motion seconded by Cory Foth and passed.
Discussion – Anyone can make nominations. Information would be sent in the newsletter and registration packet. Plaques for individual recipients were mentioned.
Bids for 2017 and 2018 Conventions were discussed by Cory Foth.
Dates – March 24-26, 2017 and March 23-25, 2018.
Holiday Inn Lawrence – Room rate $99 includes breakfast
Four Point Sheraton Manhattan – Room rate $86 includes breakfast
After some discussion, Brian Sigman moved to use Four Point Sheraton. Chris Rickard seconded; motion passed.
New Business:
Dave Selenke asked about the Association participating in the Mid West Hunt Fest in Wichita. It is a 3 day event held in Century II. Cory Foth moved to get more details to be presented at the business meeting 2016. Tom Bowman seconded and motion passed.
President Clint Bowman asked if the 2016 Convention schedule should stay the same as ’15. The group agreed.
Discussion on memberships. Question was asked on half rate if joining in August or later. Cory Foth moved $35 individual membership (one vote at business meetings) and $55 family membership (two votes at business meetings) and no half rate. Jerry Kessinger seconded and motion passed. Chris Rickard moved dues are due at convention. Seconded by Gary Penn and motion passed.
Sue Penn asked about having ladies items at the auction. There was agreement for Sue to work with ladies about it.
2016 Convention-
Dave Selenke said we have contracts for all judges to come back for 2016.
Dave also said the Pennsylvania show is at the same time as ours, so vendors will be hard to get.
New volunteers for the showroom are Tim Stidham and Mike Beckman.
Convention Packets were mailed out for 2015 and convention information was in the newsletter.
Discussion on banquet tickets. The meal count has to be turned in very early. Pre-registration for meals will be strongly encouraged and when sold out at convention, no more can be added. Decided we would have someone collect tickets at the food line.
Tim Stidman, who is continuing to do the newsletter, announced he needs articles, or it will be short and put on the web only.
President Clint set the next meeting as January 16, 2016, 10am, again at Brian Sigman Shop.
Tim Stidham moved for adjournment, seconded and passed.

Tom Bowman gave an informative demonstration on mounting an Impala.
