Since 1998, 83 students have successfully completed the program (only 1 student has not completed the program, due to health reasons).

o  Passage rate on the national RD exam (first times test takers, last 5 yrs): 93%.

o  Number of students finding nutrition-related jobs within 6 months of graduation, or pursuing more education (last 5 yrs): 100%

o  Students in our Dietetic Internship have won the Outstanding Dietetic Intern Award given by the Georgia Dietetic Assn for 11 of the last 14 years (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014)

o  GPA of most recent entering interns is 3.82.

Place students in clinical, food service and community rotations during summer

Oversee completion of competencies and performance in rotations.

Manage paperwork and documentation for each intern

·  FDNS 7911 (Dietetic Internship) 2 sections, each. Fall and Spring semesters to all dietetic interns, (3 credit hrs each section) which includes:

Didactic instruction in the classroom to teach competencies that are not met in rotations

I meet weekly with interns to review their work. This collaboration will result in publication of education documents for use throughout the state.

·  Placement of interns at the ASPIRE clinic, a unique interdisciplinary clinic administered by the College of Family and Consumer Sciences providing nutrition services, relationship counseling, financial services, housing and financial assistance to clients. Oversee the nutrition education services provided by my interns and guide and support their counseling practice.
