Each Member was asked to fill out a Advisory Committee Update form both new and old.
(A copy was sent to each Advisory Member prior to this meeting for their review)
Response were:
Tom Collins stated that there is an initiative in the State that will convert clock hours earned at a TechnicalCenter and award college credit. This would be a large improvement over the current articulation agreement with BrowardCommunity Center. Advantages are as follows:
  • The current articulation agreement is only good at BrowardCommunity College. The new initiative would expand the conversion of clock hours to semester hours statewide.
  • Associate degrees earned through the current articulation agreement may only be recognized at BrowardCommunity College. The new initiative will provide transferability and portability throughout the state of Florida.
Mr. Boulton has not been given instruction or guidance on how to convert program hours to credit hours. Committee suggests this be done.
Response were:
There is currently no required competency test required for photographers.
