1. / SWAT Constitution / · Updated Constitution was distributed for review
· There are 8 formal parents on the SWAT Council who may be required to consult on various issues (policy making, attend confidential meetings etc). These have been voted in by SWAT Team for the 2016/2017 session and will be refreshed after September AGM
· It was asked that any comments regarding the Constitution are passed to Kelly by Friday 5th May, it is hoped this can be agreed and signed by all before or at next meeting (18th May) / Review and comment / All

2. / Parent Council Meeting / · Next Termly Parent Council Meeting to be held at Café Coast on Wed 24th May (7.15pm – 9.00pm)
· Kelly will be attending and all welcome – let Kelly know if you’d like to go along.
3. / Financial / · Accounts have been audited and submitted.
· Hopeful for annual Parent Council funding from Aberdeen Council (approx. £300)
4. / ASDA Bag Pack / · ASDA bag pack to take place on Sat 20th May – timing to be confirmed (10.00am – 4.00pm?)
· Hoping for P6 and P7 volunteers with adult helpers
· T-shirts or similar to be ordered when numbers known (P7 have hoodies)
· Will link to accreditation
· Arrange groupcall / note home for volunteers
· Distribute Summer Fayre flyer during bag pack / Groupcall for volunteers to be written by SWAT
5. / Summer Fayre / · Various items regarding the Summer Fayre were discussed
· Karin received the Summer Fayre banner to be displayed on or near the school. May have to speak with Dandara for assistance with board/posts to display in best position.
· Activity / Job List has been created – there will be 40+ volunteers required if operating in 2 shifts (set up + 1 hour / 1 hour + tidy up)
· Job list distributed to SWAT Team and will be available in school reception for all teachers and parents to sign up
· Raffle books are printed and will be sent home with pupils soon
· Animates – tickets need to be sold before the fayre if possible – there will be 3 x sessions of maximum 30 people. Children must be accompanied by an adult (adults also need a ticket). Different colour tickets to be printed for each session.
· Calendar artwork to be ready for next week. 11 advertising banners have been organised with 1 left to confirm. Order will be placed for 400 next week with delivery before Summer Fayre (selling price £5 each)
· Home Baking table – it was discussed to hand out plastic ‘take away’ containers for home bakes donations – this may be easier to donate / display / sell
· Friday 26th May – dress down day for donations of bottles / chocolate for tombola/bottle stall
· Inflatables – it was discussed how best to charge - £1 for 3 minutes play on all inflatables?
· Site Plan – plan to be drawn of fayre layout (including back up plan for poor weather)
6. / Role of Secretary / Due to other commitments, Leona will be stepping down from her role as Secretary. Thank you to Leona for all her hard work.
Ann-Marie will continue her role as Secretary for the SWAT Team.
7. / Press / Articles have been published in Bucksburn News and the Evening Express – these were shared at the meeting.
8. / Head Teacher New Build News / · Plans have been updated – slight change to entrance. Main entrance from Bankhead Avenue will be for staff and authorised vehicles only (there will still be pedestrian / cycle access)
· There will also be access from Bankhead Road (old school carpark) including ramped access
· Morgan Sindell have set up a time lapse camera
· Pupils will soon have regular visits as build starts
· A documentary has been discussed to follow the progress from ‘old school’ to ‘new school’
9. / Head Teacher Other News / · Numeracy event was well attended and very positive feedback
· It is planned to hold a similar event for Literacy in the future
· Homework questionnaire to be sent out to review progress of updated format
· Authority ICT – request they come in and check speaker compatibility
· Ms Ross would like to acknowledge the efforts of parent Tracey Blackie taking part in both the Aberdeen and Dundee Kiltwalk’s in support of Me Too Magazine
