Dear Interested Applicant,

We would like to thank you for your interest in the Mr. and Miss Hope 4 Tomorrow Pageant. This system was designed to cultivate and honor the very best in the art of female impersonation and male lead entertainment. In this first initial year, our aim is to lay the foundation for a professional and impartial pageantry system that will showcase and groom future national titleholders. We endeavor to further fulfill the aims and goals of A Hope 4 Tomorrow Pageantry System.

Category Description

Personal Interview: The contestants will be interviewed by a panel of judges and will be judged in the following: Poise, Confidence, Eye contact, Grammar and the Ability to communicate effectively.

Presentation: Presentation must be a complete ensemble representing the colors of black, purple and or silver. Please make sure that the fit and accessories are complete. You will be judged on your overall look.

Non-Seasonal Sportswear: You can choose any ensemble that represents you. No mixing of the seasons.

Evening Gown/Formal Wear: Contestants must present themselves in a evening gown or formal wear of their choice. The overall look must represent elegance. This includes jewelry, accessories, hair and make-up.

Talent: Contestants must present an entertaining talent that will keep the judges stimulated and entertained. Be it comedy, live entertainment, skits or productions. Talent will be limited to 7 minutes not including set up and break down time. Any talent that may cause harm to the audience, judges, and or facility will not be allowed. (Water can be used if in a glass)

In the event of a tie or a top 5, question and response will be used to determine our winners.

Rules and Regulations

  1. Contestants must be at least 18 years of age to compete.
  2. The contestants will be judged in the following categories:

Interview, Presentation, Non-Seasonal Sportwear, Evening gown/Formal wear, and Talent

  1. Judging will be on a 20 point scale for each category.
  2. Disorderly conduct by the contestant/helper and or affiliates of the contestant will not be tolerated and is grounds for disqualification.
  3. The use of illegal substances by any contestant is grounds for disqualification.
  4. Any contestant and or affiliates involved with the contestant caught stealing or vandalizing another contestant’s property or the theater will be disqualified and held responsible for any and all damages.
  5. Talent will be limited to 7 minutes, exclusive of set up and take down time. No pyrotechnics, fire, candles etc. water can be used if in a glass only.
  6. Entry fee is $150 dollars.
  7. Prize package are as follows: Winner $1000 1st alternate, $500 and 2nd alternate $300 for both male and female.
  8. All entry fees are non-refundable.
  9. Contestants will be allowed 1 helper in the dressing area, with free admission.
  10. If for any reason the winner isn’t able to uphold his/her obligations, the first alternate will be crowned.
  11. The date for the competition is Sunday, October 15, 2017at the Hilton on Main, Downtown Norfolk; the competition will begin promptly at 7:00p.m.
  12. There will be a mandatory orientation at 12 noon on October15th, 2017at the hotel. I strongly encourage all potential contestants to be present at the orientation so you can address any concerns in person. If you can’t be there then someone may sit in for you.
  13. All contestants that receive a placement are asked to stay on stage for pictures after crowning.
  14. The winners will sign a contract at the completion of the pageant that gives you the guidelines to follow during their reign, these rules will be adhered to without question or you will be asked to relinquish your title within 30 days.
  15. You must do community service for or with the organization during your reign.
